No More Alkatraz?

Yesterday was a bit rainy, so rainy that even the birds were taking cover. But I still made an attempt to make my way around town to do some sight seeing.

I did some walking around downtown San Fransisco, CA today. Just doing some sightseeing in an area I've never been. Here are some things I saw today.

This has been one of my means of transportation around San Fransisco as well as going between there and Oakland.

Like every place in the US, there are those without places to call home. Makes me thankful for all that I have.

The San Fransisco Treat

California. That's where I currently am located. I took the BART (Bay Area Rail Transportation) to San Fransisco. I'm actually staying the night in Oakland. But I thought I would take advantage of where I am now. It was a rainy & windy day but still went a few places. Tomorrow I will take another step closer to Austrailia. That step will be in.... well you will find out then. As for now, take a look a few pictures I took today.

Round & Round She Goes, Where She Stops No One Knows

I'm taking a nice vacation. So where do I go? Some place I've never been. A place of interest. A place I may not have the opportunity to go to down the road... Down Under: Austraila. And it's warm weather this time of year. bNever been there and a place most may never see in a lifetime. That was the plan, at least. But the logistics didn't seem to be working in my favor to make that trip. So, where else can I go? Europe. Even though I've been there before, I'm sure there are things I can visit and re-visit. Well, logistics didn't work there either. Well, long story short (too late) I'm now in Oakland, CA enroute to... yea, that's right, Austrailia. My original plans. Things to have seemed to work out. Bold Knight

Bold Knight is an event hosted by a local church allowing Soldiers half way through their training to come off post. During these few hours off Ft. Knox, soldiers have the opportunity to interact with the local church members (which includes some military- currently serving and veterans) while enjoying a food, games, and a church service. Below are some pictures of this event that occured this past Saturday evening at 1st Baptist Church in Brandenburg.

The Phantom of the Opera came to the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. It was a good performance.

Fun Fellowship

On a chilly Friday night in January, a group of people got together to hang out in Elizabethtown, KY. It was a time of fellowship, worship, laughter, and just plain fun.

Let It Snow!

It wasn't a white Christmas in 2007, but it snow brought us a white New Year 2008 here at Ft Knox, KY! Snow on the ground and temperatures at 11 degrees F.
