Flowers

Just some pictures of flowers I took today.

C-130

I flew yesterday from Hawaii to California. I flew in on a C-130 aircraft. Going to Hawaii, the flight on the KC10 Refueler took about 5 1/2 hours. This flight was about 8 hours. The time difference was attributed to two things; the weight of the aircraft and flying into the wind on the way back. Here are a few pictures on the flight as well as a diagram of the demintions of the C-130.

USS Arizona

The USS Arizona Memorial is the final resting place for many of the battleship's 1,177 crew members who lost their lives on December 7, 1941. The Memorial commemorates the site where World War II began for the United States. Here are some pictures from the tour I went on of the memorial. I hope to put a video of it that I took.

Hard Rock Cafe

Last night I went to Hard Rock Cafe. The couple in the picture with me have been my traveling buddies in Hawaii. He is retired from the Army. He, his wife, and I met up at Travis Air Force Base getting ready to fly into Hickam in Hawaii. We decide to share a room on the Navy Base to save money. So I pulled them along with me to the Luau and shark diving. Today we are going to try and go to the USS Arizona Memorial. They came to Hawaii because their son will be getting married on February 14th. The rest of their family will be coming in tomorrow. Thought it was a bit interesting (and they thought so as well) that neither their son or his fiance live in or are from Hawaii. It was decided to make their way out to Hawaii to get married.

Shark Dive

This mornig I went out to the North Shore and went shark diving. We got three miles off shore and got in a cage. There had to be about 30 sharks swimming around us. The kind of sharks that we were in the midst of were Galapaga Sharks. I wanted to purchase a video of me getting in the water and then the video that goes under the water with us. However, a shark got a hold of the camera, shook it around, and is now in operable. So, needless to say, I have no DVD to show you. You can enjoy these pictures though.
